Commission Me!

My commission process from a recent commission:

For reference this was A3

(Technically the 3rd step)  After receiving the reference pictures, I made a lineart online- sometimes by combining reference pictures to get the correct pov( this can take longer then you might expect e.g this com sketch took 7 hours); then I print it out a couple time to both make sure it will be in the right position and be the right size; A3, A4 etc. Then I use my old light box to "trace" over my sketch on the watercolor paper.

After confirming the color pallet and any changes that the customer wants (the differ from the reference photos), I spend 9-15 hours (depending on size, detail and color pallet) painting the lineart, a bit like a professional coloring page haha.

Now its time for the metallics!! This is an optional step but I think it just brings life into the piece an extra bit, I use my special metallic/ iridescent watercolors and some gold ink.

Finally, I spray with watercolor varnish to protect it and prevent it from being smudged. Then I ship it out to you, tracked shipping, 1st - 2nd class!
